I just woke after sleeping for 9 hours ..which makes it a total of 26 out of the last 36. I am weak, wobbly and in pain. I got a ride to a free activity center today and sat there under a blanket for a few hours while my dad was at work. It was wonderful to get out of the house. I ended up dozing off the last hour I was there before my dad picked me up. As soon as I got home I shuffled to bed and slept hard. Just now waking from that to get something to eat and update my blog. Below is link to a video I shot yesterday describing a bit of the Herx reactions I'm experiencing.

- My name is Jessica and I am 35 yrs old. 9 years ago I contracted Lyme Disease. Fluctuating heart rate,intermittent rheumatoid arthritis pain, extreme muscle weakness, tremors and memory loss followed. I lost my job, apartment, ability to care for myself, and spent a year bouncing between homeless shelters, friends houses and the hospital. 5 years ago I moved into my dad's spare room and for the last 3 have required a motorized wheelchair to maneuver outside the house. Without cash benefits from the government, my focus is on raising funds to meet my daily needs and pay for treatment. Throughout this ordeal there have been moments when I have considered giving up, but I refuse to let this illness win. I am writing this blog in hopes that others will gain some inspiration from my story and know that they are not alone on their journey.
